The Challenge

A large boundary wall alongside a public path was showing signs of subsidence due to being built on shallow foundations on made ground.

Excavation for traditional underpinning would have been very disruptive, costly and time consuming.

The Solution

We worked with the project engineer to develop a solution.

Working within the existing footprint, holes were cored through the concrete before QuadraPile helical piles were installed to the required depth and proof tested on site.

The piles were then grouted into the existing foundation to provide additional support.

With compact, hand-portable installation equipment and minimal disruption to the surrounding area, the works were completed ahead of schedule and with no additional charges.
