The Problem

A private customer required replacement of their existing modular bathroom “pod” on a terraced property in Carshalton, Surrey.

Being a terraced property, the only access to the rear extension was through the house, making any traditional construction very disruptive for the household. The bathroom extension was also the only bathroom facility in the property so replacement needed to be completed within a single day to avoid leaving the house without facilities.

The Solution

We provided the complete service including surveys, design, supply and installation of a new off-site manufactured modular bathroom pod.

The replacement was completed within a single day so the property was only without facilities for a few hours.

We dealt with the old pod, sending it for recycling and disposal.

The use of QuadraPile helical screw pile foundations meant that the foundations were formed quickly and with minimal disruption and no excavation required.

A mortar-free concrete cladding system was used in order to provide a robust external finish and low-maintenance wet wall panels were used inside to provide a practical bathroom area.
