The Challenge

Foundations were required for a residential extension on ground which had been filled. Traditional concrete strip foundations were not suitable due to the depth of poor ground.

The Solution

After undertaking the engineering design, we installed our QuadraPile helical piles (screw piles) to act as foundations and then reinforcing mesh ready for a concrete slab to be poured by the builder.

The piles were driven down to achieve the required load capacity and therefore overcome the problem of the fill ground which was not suitable for a traditional concrete foundation to bear onto.

Only a shallow excavation was required which mean that minimal spoil had to be removed.
