QuadraPile foundations for a Garden Wall Rebuild Between Trees, London

The Requirement

A garden wall next to a footpath had been made structurally unstable by nearby trees. The site was in a conservation area and the trees needed to be left undamaged which ruled out traditional concrete foundations.

The Solution

We installed QuadraPile helical pile foundations in a shallow trench. The pile tops were then cast in a reinforced concrete groundbeam which could support the new wall construction.

Piles were positioned to avoid the tree roots.
All piles were load tested following installation
Minimal excavation was required and the new groundbeam was suspended above the roots in order to prevent the roots damaging the new wall.
