Helical Screw Piles for Canopies in a School Playground

The Challenge

Foundations were required for steel posts to take large “sail” canopies over a school playground.

Numerous underground services made traditional foundations impractical.

The Solution

We installed QuadraPile helical piles along with galvanised steelwork onto which the posts could be bolted.

Our piles can be installed in close proximity to underground services so they were positioned so as to miss the numerous pipes, cables and access chambers in the area.

The foundations were created without using any concrete.
