The Challenge
To provide foundations for three new lodges to be used as holiday lets on a site which posed the following challenges:
- The site was remote and had restricted access.
- The poor and variable soil meant that traditional foundations were unsuitable.
The Solution
We installed QuadraPile helical pile foundations which were load tested to ensure suitable capacity.
We then supplied and fitted steel work consisting of brackets, plates and columns to the top of each pile. This enabled levelling and height adjustment to meet the tight tolerances required, ready for the timber floor beams to be installed.
Once completed, the foundations could be used for construction of the lodges immediately.
