The Requirement
Foundations were required for a large steel and glass structure in a main show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The foundations had to be quick to install and provide accurately positioned, stable support points.
At the end of the show the foundations had to be completely removeable to enable re-installation at the garden’s permanent home at Uxbridge College.
The Kings Trust garden was designed by Joe Perkins and installed by The Landscaping Consultants
The Solution
Our QuadraPile system provided piled foundations which were installed within a few hours.
No concrete was required and the steel frame could be fixed straight to the tops of the piles after adjustable steel brackets were attached.
The garden was awarded a Gold Medal by the judges.
The garden, including the steel and glass structure with QuadraPile foundations, was then relocated to Uxbridge college where it remains as a permanent installation.
